Meet Dr. Whalen

Dr. Richard K. Whalen earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from State University of New York at Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine in 1992. Since that time, he has been committed to providing patients with complete comprehensive oral care, having studied at The Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI) and the Misch International Implant institute, as well as many others.

Dr. Whalen established Dental Design Studio in 2005 and has been a prominent figure within the dental industry since 1992. He is a part of several renowned Dental Associations, including:

  • The Academy of Comprehensive Esthetics (ACE)
  • The American Dental Association (ADA)
  • The Academy of General Dentistry (AGD)
  • The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD)
  • International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI)
  • The International Association of Comprehensive Aesthetics (IACA)

Named as a Top Doctor in Hudson Valley every year since 2007, Dr. Whalen was one of five dentists featured in the publication's Top Doc issue in 2010.

When he is not caring for his patients, Dr. Richard Whalen finds his greatest joy in spending time with his family. He is happily married to Lisa and they have two beautiful children, Zoe and Luke. He also has a passion for sports and coaches his children in their CYO Basketball and Babe Ruth Baseball Leagues.
